United In Spirit Connection Vol 3 2009

Welcome to the latest edition of our newsletter! It’s been quite sometime since the last, but wow what a trip! As many of you know, I decided to hike off to the USA and brainstorm with my partner and best friend Shade Law. We did the touristy things and wandered round sunny California for a bit. The most exciting and exhilarating experience though has to be having the opportunity of working side by side on site related business and projects. Beats trying to collaborate online any day!

So there are new videos that have been produced, new groups, new members on the administration team and plenty of new and wonderful community members!

It’s been an exciting few weeks in many respects and ones that have given me great memories and inspiration.

On behalf of the Administration Team, I would love to welcome all our new members and friends to United In Spirit. Hope you all enjoy the site, our great community and all the wealth of information and knowledge we have to offer.

Also in the welcomes, I want to warmly welcome Lulu and Ccreature to our administration team. Two more wonderful administrators to share their knowledge, experience and to facilitate growth.

Our community continues to grow, we now have over 200 members.

INSPIRATION

BY JOHN ROHN

Sometimes you can’t make it on your own.
Combine your knowledge; none of us is
smarter than all of us.

Welcome greatness; it lives all around you.

Choose to think the best about others.
Choose to believe the best about others.

Be enthusiastic!!!

Put people up; not down!

Develop the ability to find the ability
in others; it’s “Priceless”!!

Help others be liked.
Help others be right.
Help others be comfortable.
Help others be winners.

Get your ego out of the way.
Replace “I” with “We.

Inspire someone to be
the best they can be.

Think like a person of action.
Act like a person of thought.

Have no regrets.

Commit yourself to something bigger than yourself.

Act as if what you do makes
a difference.
It Does!!

Go for it!
Start an epidemic
of enthusiasm!

Has this ever happened to you?
Somebody says something to you
that immediately triggers
negativity within you.
You don't have a clue
why you are so upset
and you wonder
just where
that feeling came from.
Tony Robbins would call this
a "negative anchor"
something that is said
or something that is experienced
that you associate with
a previous negative event.
Peter Levine refers to this
as trauma being held in the body.
Whatever you want to call it,
the event and feelings
surrounding the event
rear their ugly heads
again and again
until you are able
to heal the original situation.
It's very important to differentiate
what happened in the past
from what's happening now.
Ultimately,
you will want to work on
forgiving that person
and honoring how that experience
created who you are today.
Only after you are able
to release the past,
can you experience
the emotional freedom
that we all desire.

What Mattered the Most

Tonight, when you go to bed, look back at what you did today, the steps taken towards the realization of your dreams, or steps taken AS IF you were already living your dream life... and remember, that what mattered most...

was that you did something...

NOT exactly what you did... because just by doing something... you set
the Universe in motion on your behalf.
Then... wonder a short while.. at perhaps who the Universe contacted for you... at what strange twists, circumstances, or coincidences began
lining up that will propel you forward...
or at what surprising phone
calls, email, or letters you might receive in the coming days and weeks
with incredible news... not so much because of the something that you did... but because the Universe noticed, and then did its own thing.
Got it?
You rule!
Tallyho,
Your friend,

Let Your Life Shine
By Yvonne Chiarelli, PhD CHC
creativepossibilities.com
We journey together in discovering ourselves. You are on this human journey to express life in a way that only you can express it. How can you filter out the myriad of distractions and focus on allowing your inner light to shine? In our culture, it is easy to get caught up in the stream of busy, keeping up with the pace, doing what we must, not always what we want.
The best way to let your life shine is to really get to know who you are. Pause to greet yourself and come face to face with someone you're still getting to know.
Who's underneath your facade?
You have ways to engage your inner life, perhaps it is when you are still. When you engage your inner life you enter another level of exploring yourself. This process allows you to know what you value most, recognize your needs, crystallize your desires, gain a profound knowing of who you really are.
Your inner landscape is vast, and likely, there are parts of you that you do not like, or store negative experience, or harbor shame. Your inner light could be covered with layers of dust and gunk - limiting beliefs that no longer serve, unmet needs, unexpressed values, unsatisfied expression, destructive relationships, a sense of separation.
In order to let your life shine, it is necessary to peel away those gunky layers that cover your magnificence, but how?
Perhaps you start by recognizing those stifling layers. Begin to align your energy toward what you want by identifying what you want. Notice your inner dialogue about what you want. Be bold in surfacing up the hurts, the negative feelings, the story you tell yourself, the limiting beliefs. Acknowledge them straight on and allow a higher love to respond to it, - your higher self, or God. Lovingly release them, transmuting negative energy to love. Connect to a higher thought with the intention of raising your vibration. Take inspired action to re-engage. In short, surface, allow, respond, release, reconnect, and act.
As you remove layer after layer, your light shines through brighter and brighter. There's so much inner life to experience, yet when you tap into your pure essence, it becomes very simple. Words are not necessary when you are aware of your inner light - when you know that you Are the Light. Your light shines eternally and comes through whenever you uncover it. All of it is your life. Peel away those dusty and gunky layers. You have always been, and always will be, life in divine expression. Let your life shine brightly.

The Spiritual Nomad

Written by Lisa Renee

THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT PHASE that occurs in the process of initiation for
many lightworkers that I refer to as "The Spiritual Nomad".
Often, when one
reaches this transition phase of spiritual evolution, it can be so painfully
unnerving to the personality/ego that it not only devastates one's self esteem,
it also severely undermines our confidence to manifest even the most basic
needs for our survival.
It is precisely our "root" fears of survival that are being
shaken to the core and unpeeled from us during this process.
We are being
prompted to work toward clearing these fears and perfecting our trust and
surrender.
So it is extremely important to understand the dynamics of why
this occurs and actually how entirely common it is!
This will help you avoid the pitfall of allowing yourself to dwell in feelings of
humiliation, shame and embarrassment by this externalization of forces that
transform your world in to what appears to be a great "sacrifice".
This is a
crucial part of some of our Light Family's development and I want you to
realize that you indeed have many family members that either have already
undergone, or are currently working through this phase of spiritual
development. I promise you this is a TEMPORARY phase.
So if you know
anyone who is presently working through this, do be sure to acknowledge
their courage, strength and bravery to surrender to divine order and align to
their soul's purpose. Send them love.
This is the TRUTH of what they are
doing and it is to be honored and acknowledged.
We need to be more conscious of supporting those being recruited (The
Newbies) and the new additions (Child Indigos, Crystals and Aliens)
awakening to reinforce our divine purposes of bringing higher
consciousness to this planet.
We are moving incredibly swiftly - forward!
What is the Spiritual Nomad?
Some questions to define "The Spiritual Nomad":
Are you currently jobless, juggling jobs, possibly homeless and relationship-
less... much to your own bewilderment because you are an incredibly
talented, skilled and loving being? You may even have an L.A.c, Ph.d, M.H.
T
and other assorted credentials after your name.
Do you feel invisible - like no one will hire you, love you or even recognize
you? And, really, for no apparent reason (it feels like you have a mark on
your forehead)?
Are you unable to do anything as you did in the past to earn a living or live as
you once did?
Are you a healer or working in the healing arts, running around trying to find a
way to translate this into cash or a means of support?
Do you seem to travel a lot, drive or go long distances, or sleep in several
different places in short periods of time, perhaps even on your ex's couch?
Do you feel confused about your purpose and identity in the world?
Are there people, such as your biological family or friends, who are
completely shocked or troubled by your life, attempting to offer their advice of
what went wrong with you?
Oh my dear one, welcome to "The Spiritual Nomad".
Fun, isn't it? The rest of
this article is for you!
El Morya Pictures, Images and Photos
THIS IS THE TIME in one's life where every aspect of perceived "security" in
the structure of the human world is completely unstable, unknown and
unforeseen.
Your life in all major areas, such as relationship, money, career,
residence is all abruptly halted, changed and/or terminated.
You are left
feeling isolated and standing in a place of total bewilderment, wondering
what happened to your life, the people in it and your former identity.
This
sets off every fear button you have because there is absolutely no sign of
what is going on, what is coming or why it's happening.
There is only a
sense that some force came in, picked you up out of your hologram and
placed you into someone else's life.
For a while, you may not recognize
whose life it is! It is very much like the sensation captured in the Talking
Heads song lyrics, "Once in a Lifetime"...
Where does that highway go?
And you may ask yourself
Am I right? Am I wrong?
And you may tell yourself
MY GOD! WHAT HAVE I DONE?
In the process of our unraveling consciousness in this human drama
setting, this is one of the experiences that we have set up as "spirit" to create
the experience of learning to FULLY surrender to divine forces.
It is a
complete dismantling of our ego and ego defenses.
This is the crossroads
where we start to leave the world of human order and align to the Divine
Order.
Spiritual Pictures, Images and Photos
To many of our earthly cohorts, biological families and old energy
friends, it will appear as if we have stepped off the edge of a chasm into a
realm of insanity.
Groups will stand around shaking their heads, whispering how you have
gone off your rocker and offer lots of advice and theories to your problems
and issues.
As unsolicited advice starts mounting - generally suggesting
that you are incompetent, "less than", unrealistic, ungrounded, living in the
clouds or just purely strange - your subconscious fear programs get
triggered.
Maybe, just maybe, could they be right? Internal pressures
increase and you feel extremely conflicted about who you really ARE and
what the heck you are doing with your life.
This sets you off on a tangent of
extreme inner examination and the re-evaluation of every goal, dream,
thought and idea that you have had about your role in the world.
Will I EVER
make it? Will I ever become self actualized? Will I have the ability to create
abundance in my life?
This process is designed to cultivate the incredible inner strength needed to
face yourself and your deepest fears of survival.
You then become intimate
with the universal Law of Abundance and learn how generous the universe
really is, even if it's not all manifested in order of your personal preference.
You find that somehow, someway, all your base needs are being met, even
though you have not the foggiest clue how it's happening or who some of the
strangers are that have appeared in your life to support you - in ways you
would never imagine! You learn how to receive from total strangers (an
illusion, as everyone is Family) or from new sources, and learn how to
acknowledge and receive these new ideas of abundance of which you were
not formerly aware.
So, most commonly, one is feeling a type of embarrassment at being in the
situation one is in; yet, simultaneously, feeling gratitude at these blessings
being demonstrated at the most mundane levels (or even incredibly opulent
levels) of existence.
Kundaline Rising To Wholeness Pictures, Images and Photos
Finally, at about this time, you begin to Trust and realize
that you REALLY are divinely protected and supported! You can relax now (at
least a little)!
Here's an example of my own experience: I was classified as "homeless"
(as the Spiritual Nomad) and, yet, found myself staying and living in multi-
million dollar mansions... and actually more than one at a time! The
juxtaposition of having $20 to my name and hanging out in sprawling
acreages with koi ponds was really quite bewildering to my brain/ego.
I
began to experience a new level of universal abundance and had to release
my attachment to my ego's desire/need to create it as coming from me.
That
illusion was a tricky one to dispel! I spent many bemused moments
pondering the circumstances in which I found myself.
It cultivated in me a
trust that my needs would be met and that my spiritual path and mission
was indeed supported in the physical world.
These experiences DO cultivate a level of deep faith and trust in the Divine
Order, even when you do not have any external validation of "safety" - and that
safety could be monetary, emotional support or a place to call "home" with a
bed in it.
Even when you are feeling blind and disconnected, to face this
uncertainty and to find yourself 'okay' with it all is a major revelation.
When
you realize that your deepest fears (so many of them!) did not happen
anyway, and, if they did... well, it really was not as bad as you once imagined
it! My God! You can face just about anything! Your personal power begins to
increase and your inner light glows ever more radiantly!
angel Pictures, Images and Photos
Well, my little darlings, if you find yourself smack dab in the center of this
process, know that Spirit has many designs and great plans for you! It is
important to work through all your fear, worry and obsessions.
Then work to
allow guidance, support and the light to shine on your path, even when it
makes absolutely NO logical sense.
You are learning to work your new
Higher Sensory Perceptions and these antennae within you are being finely
tuned for your new task and mission in the world.
You cannot "make" anything happen while you are in this process.
So, you
must relax as best you can. You are in transition to your greater destiny.
When relaxing, you are expanding, not constricting, and the divine forces can
more easily work through you and for you.
Know that transformational forces
are working magic in your life in ways you cannot comprehend.
There really
IS a Divine Order to what is happening to you.
Know that it is okay not to
know.
Get more comfortable with uncertainty and external chaos while you
cultivate that impenetrable core of divine essence to show the way for you
and others. Finally, know that your Family is out here.
We get it; we know
what it's like and we love you for walking the path with US!
Until next time, stay in the luminosity of your Heart and Soul Path! We are
here as One!

Spiritual Roots

by Grant Bright

There are many lessons to be learned from the natural world. Take, for example, trees. According to the book "The Trees Around Us", trees are vital to much of the life on earth. Forests cover almost one third of the land area of our planet. They help protect, sustain and improve mankind's supplies of fresh water. They purify the air and convert carbon dioxide, water, minerals and sunlight into nutrients and oxygen. Many plants, insects, fungi, worms and other organisms are dependent upon the shade, moisture and leaf debris provided by trees. Additionally, the environment provided by trees supports a wide variety of reptiles, birds, and mammals.
What life lessons can we, as humans, learn from trees?
1. Be flexible.
The trees that bend a little to the harmless breeze will later grow to withstand the wild wind. Similarly, if we maintain a degree of flexibility in our attitudes and viewpoints we will not be broken in any storm of criticism or opposition.
2. Value the little things.
Leaves, though they can be small, are vital to the life of a tree. Similarly, expressions of encouragement and appreciation, whether it be by spoken word or in the form of a simple "Thank You" card can go a long way to build the spirits of the receiver. If they are wholly restrained, the motivation of others to work with us and support common goals may die at the roots.
3. Do not be intimidated by small beginnings.
Mighty oaks do indeed grow from little acorns. Efforts, when enriched with strong motivation and determination, will grow to fruition. Remember that the mighty oak tree was once a little nut that held its ground.

4. Do not be afraid of change.
As David Zindell observed in "The Broken God", an acorn is unafraid to destroy itself in growing into a tree. Invigorate your life by letting go of the past and pressing forward to something new.
5. Practice teamwork.
In forests, individual trees support one another. Whereas even a giant Sequoia growing by itself could be blown over, by interlocking its roots with other trees around it, Sequoias are able to stand as a grove against any wind. How much support do you share with those around you? Teamwork can accomplish much more than the sum of individual efforts, often making the difference between success and failure.
6. Grow leadership.
As noted above, trees provide an environment that supports the growth of many other life forms, including saplings, small replicas of itself. An important leadership characteristic is to provide an environment that empowers and enables others to take on greater responsibility so that they, too, can develop into full-grown leaders.
7. Develop a value-system.
Trees have extensive root systems. Some trees, such as mesquites, grow taproots that are often larger than the trunk and that can extend down into the ground hundreds of feet to reach vital sources of water.
How extensive is your root system? Is it solidly embedded in principles and values that provide valuable guidance when life-decisions need to be made?

Yes, as Joyce Kilmer expressed it:
"I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
"

Start With Joy

There's a reason why the sunrise is so beautiful and
magnificent. It sets the stage for a positive, fulfilling day.
When you start the day by choosing to be joyful,
you put yourself in a creative, effective state of mind.
You'll make yourself better able to handle whatever
may come your way during the day.
A relationship that gets off to a positive start at the
very beginning will quickly flourish and build great value.
You can forge a positive relationship with each day
when you begin it in a joyful way.
.
Even if the day is gray and gloomy you can choose to
start it with a positive experience of your own making.
Fulfillment comes to those who make it happen,
and there's no better time than the beginning of your day
to start moving forward.
There's an endless list of ways in which you can begin
the day on a positive note.
And the days that start well
have the best chance of going well.
A new day arrives, ready to be lived.
Choose to start it with joy.

Whispers From The Soul
By Kirsten Harrell
ipopin.com

You are driving home from work and you suddenly get the urge to go a different route. You follow the urge only later to hear on the radio that there was a major accident on your usual route.
You think to yourself, “what good luck!”
You wake up in the morning and remember that you dreamed that a family member was ill. You call the person and find out that she is not well.
You think, “what a coincidence!”
Was it really luck or a coincidence? Or is there something more going on? Absolutely…it was your intuition at work!
The dictionary definition of intuition is an immediate insight or understanding without conscious reasoning. Intuition or hunches are the whispers from your soul, offering you guidance and direction. Intuition is a powerful source of information, creativity, and inspiration. When you follow your intuitive voice life flows more easily, things seem to fall into place, and you will experience less stress.
Inventors, business people, law enforcement officers, healers, and many others use their intuition regularly to make decisions and to achieve success. Intuition can help you make decisions at work and in your personal life - especially when you don't have time to gather all the pertinent information. It can help you avert difficulties and tune into potential problems on a project. Your intuitive voice can help you with simple choices (like which route to take home) and big decisions (like which job to take).
Everyone has intuitive potential - men and women. It is a natural talent that everyone possesses. It is not something special limited to only a few gifted individuals. As a child, you freely accessed your intuition. Unfortunately, over time you likely received negative feedback from your peers, teachers, or family. You likely began to doubt your intuitive voice and shut down this channel of information. The good news is that with a little patience and practice you can strengthen and hone your intuition to create a valuable guidance system.
The first and most important thing that you can do to develop your intuition is to acknowledge and honor the intuitive messages that you are currently getting. Your intuitive voice is still there, you just need to tune into it. Start paying attention to and trusting those little hunches or gut feelings that you have. If you did nothing more than start honoring your intuitive impulses, you would find a dramatic improvement in your intuitive abilities.
Intuitive messages can come as a sudden "knowing," gut feelings, thoughts, images, emotions, or bodily sensations. It is important to pay attention to the way your intuitive messages generally show up for you. Think back to what it felt like when you got the sudden urge to take a different route home (or some other intuitive event). What did that feel like? Was it a feeling? A thought? An image? It is important to pay attention to the details of an event like this, because it will help you understand the way you receive intuitive messages. Once you know what your intuition feels like, it makes it easier to discern between intuition and other messages like fear or wishful thinking.
In addition, you can begin some specific exercises and practices to further enhance your intuitive abilities.

6 ways to strengthen your intuition:
Clearing your mind - It is easier to hear the whispers from the soul when your mind is quiet and open. Much of the time your mind is wandering and "going a mile a minute." You likely have lots of thoughts running through your mind at any given moment. You probably spend much of your day multi-tasking. All of this "noise" makes it difficult to hear your intuitive voice. It is important to find some ways to quiet your mind. You can't shut off your thoughts completely, but you can learn to slow them down. Let all the distracting thoughts flow out of your mind. Let them go. Picture your thoughts floating away on a cloud. Focus on your breathing and allow your mind and body to relax more with each breath. You might even try counting down from 10 to 1 and allow yourself to relax more with each count. Once your mind is clearer, you can then access your intuition.
Meditation - There are many forms of meditation and all are excellent ways to get centered and quiet the mind. Even a few minutes of meditation daily can increase your ability to hear your intuitive voice. Meditation is like priming the pump. As you get used to being in a meditative state, you will find that it is easier to hear the whispers from your soul and to distinguish these messages from other mental chatter. If you are new to meditation you might try sitting quietly and focusing your attention on a candle flame. When your awareness drifts (and it will), simply bring your attention gently back to the flame. You can also try focusing your attention on a short phrase or word (mantra) that you repeat over and over to yourself. Remember that the key is to gently bring your mind back to your focus point. Getting frustrated will only interfere with the process.
Imagery - You can use imagery to help you access intuitive answers to your questions. Imagine yourself in a quiet place in nature, surrounded by beauty and wonder. Make this image as vivid as possible by using all of your senses. Spend a few moments simply enjoying this place in your mind’s eye. Then, imagine a treasure chest nearby. You feel excited as you approach the chest because you know that the answer to your question is inside. Take a deep breath and imagine yourself opening the treasure chest. Don't try to control this, let your intuitive mind guide you. Trust that whatever is inside the chest is your answer. You might receive a very clear answer or you might get a symbol that doesn't make logical sense to you. Either way, it is exactly what you need. Trust that if the answer is not clear right away, it will become clear over time. Over the next few days, be open to feelings, songs, conversations, or any synchronistic events. Be patient! If you become frustrated or try to force an answer, you will block the flow of intuition.
Dreams – While you are sleeping and your conscious mind is at rest, your soul has the opportunity to bring intuitive information to you through your dreams. When you are working on a problem and looking for your intuitive guidance, take some time before you fall asleep to ask for an answer to come to you through your dreams. Be sure to keep a journal by your bed so that you can record your dreams the moment you wake up. Your answers may come symbolically and may need some interpretation. Look for the emotions and themes of your dreams and see if this sheds light on your problem. If the answer still is not clear, be patient and remain open. You may find more clarity with time.
Affirmations - You can use affirmations to focus your mind. It is best to use affirmations with some form of relaxation (such as deep breathing) in order to get the combined effects of a relaxed body and focused or centered mind. Affirmations are a terrific way to tap into the power of your subconscious mind to help you reach your conscious desires. Affirmations should be concise sentences stated in a positive way. When creating an affirmation remember to state what it is that you want, not what you don’t want. Another important guideline is to always use the present tense when creating your affirmations. The following are a few examples of affirmations to increase your intuitive abilities. I trust my intuition. My intuitive voice is consistently accurate. I access my intuition easily.
Practice - It is important to practice using your intuition. When you first start practicing you may want to begin with small issues that do not have a significant impact on your life. For example, try to guess who is calling before you pick up your phone. Guess which elevator will show up first when you are standing in front of a bank of elevators. Practicing with these simple issues will allow you to stay relaxed and focused without too much distraction from fear or other mental chatter. As you practice, you will get better at recognizing your intuitive impulses and you will gain confidence in using this skill. The more confident you feel about identifying your intuitive voice, the more you will trust it and be able to act on it.
As you practice using your intuition and build your skill, you will find that your intuitive voice is a precious resource – an indispensable gift. You can use this inner wisdom to guide you in all of your decisions at work, at home, and at play. The more you use and trust your intuition, the stronger it will get and the more confident you will feel about it. The whispers from your soul will always guide you to the path that is for your highest good.
