by Dr. Guy Pettit
It is the exploration of what this might be that we do from now on in this seminar - and in life after the seminar! Its mystery and depth cannot be explained. Yet we all recognize its presence and its magic. It reveals itself through joy, which can even increase in adversity. We can learn to see ourselves as moving towards becoming able to express it ever more fully. We can learn the steps in developing this quality, which is still in the process of evolving or revealing itself.
Unconditional love is enlarging the self, and an act of will. It is not a feeling or an emotional reaction. Think of the difference between falling in love, and growing in love through all difficulties and conflicts. Unconditional love is an act of mental and spiritual will, it cannot and does not take place upon the emotional level, which is where the problems first register. Unconditional love is extending oneself in the service of the spiritual growth of oneself and/or another, independently of reward or the behavior of others.
To truly love in this way could include:
· To call forth a sense of responsibility, and a capacity to make wise choices.
· To point out weaknesses people have, - but very caringly so that the best in the person is drawn forth in response, rather than resistance.
· To challenge people to strive and attain, and discover their true selves..
· To help people work on their habits and weaknesses so that they become stronger. To show them how to use their will correctly.
· To help people learn to cooperate, and thus to overcome their little egos.
· To engage people in working for humanity.
· To teach people how to overcome their prejudices, resentments, separative tendencies, vanities, illusions, and other blocks to their own joy.
To truly love in this way does NOT mean:
· To surrender to weakness.
· To accept things that are harmful.
· To encourage weakness or irresponsibility.
· To accept dirt or ugliness in thought, feeling or action.
· To exploit or use people.
· To put people into sleep.
· To tolerate laziness.
Unconditional love causes you to see what has really caused a situation and to see through the outer appearances to the true needs or yourself and others, without criticism of yourself or others . It causes you to see the basic good in yourself and other(s).
Unconditionally loving people see their own errors and joyfully self-correct them .
They love themselves, others and the Source of Life, and therefore the whole of life. In particular, they are inclusive, and can maintain love and goodwill towards both the apparent "victim" and "oppressor" in a situation.
They seek to radiate their inner harmony and joy, peace and healing into any situation - without conditions or expectation of reward, and independently of the thoughts, feelings, and actions of others.
They are group conscious and do not react by immediately taking sides.
They serve the cause of peace and goodwill, and can often find ways to a fair solution of conflict that are not available to emotionally charged people. Gandhi taught the use of ahimsa and satyagraha, which is the willingness to cooperate harmlessly with the good intentions of the other for the true benefit of both.
The Forgiveness Process can be seen to be a process which moves us towards this goal of unconditional love.

Spiritual Principles

- There is a Divine Creative Source whose essence is unconditional Love and Wisdom.
- This Divine Source shows itself through humanity as universal Spirit.
- The human mind can be perceived symbolically in the world of Nature.
- Outward appearances are often illusory, veiling a deeper spiritual reality.
- We are spiritual as well as physical beings and ‘heaven’ and ‘hell’ are two contrary states of life
that lie within us.
- The Bible and other sacred scriptures also reflect the Divine Source and the inner ‘heaven and
hell’ in symbolic images and language.
- We are the recipients of beneficial angelic influences in our lives.
- Life does not end with the death of the physical body, but continues without end to develop

What I Have Learned (sometimes the hard way)

I've learned- that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them.
I've learned- that no matter how much I care, some people just don't care back.
I've learned- that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.
I've learned- that it's not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts.
I've learned- that you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes. After that, you'd better know something.
I've learned- that you shouldn't compare yourself to the best others can do.
I've learned- that you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.
I've learned- that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.
I've learned- that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.
I've learned- that you can keep going long after you can't.
I've learned- that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.
I've learned- that either you control your attitude or it controls you.
I've learned- that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place.
I've learned- that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
I've learned- that money is a lousy way of keeping score.
I've learned- that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.
I've learned- that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.
I've learned- that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
I've learned- that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.
I've learned- that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.
I've learned- that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.
I've learned- that you should never tell a child their dreams are unlikely or outlandish. Few things are more humiliating, and what a tragedy it would be if they believed it.
I've learned- that your family won't always be there for you. It may seem funny, but people you aren't related to can take care of you and love you and teach you to trust people again. Families aren't biological.
I've learned- that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
I've learned- that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you are to learn to forgive yourself.
I've learned- that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief.
I've learned- that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
I've learned- that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.
I've learned- that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.
I've learned- that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.
I've learned- that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.
I've learned- that no matter how you try to protect your children, they will eventually get hurt and you will hurt in the process.
I've learned- that your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you.
I've learned- that even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.
I've learned- that credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.
I've learned- that the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon.
I've learned- that it's hard to determine where to draw the line between being nice and not hurting people's feelings and standing up for what you believe.

" Oh Great Spirit, Whose Voice I Hear in the wind, Whose breath gives life to the world, hear me. I come to you as one of your many children, I am small and weak, I need your strength and wisdom. May I walk in beauty, make my eyes behold the red and purple sunset, make my hands respect the things that you have made, and my ears sharp to hear your voice. Make me wise so that I may know the things that you have taught your children, the lessons that you have hidden in every leaf and rock. Make me strong...not to be superior to my brothers but to be able to fight my greatest enemy.. myself. Make me ever ready to come to you with straight eyes so that when life fades as the faded sunset, my spirit will come to you without shame. "

Spiritual Ethics & Standards

I will take full responsibility for my own energy.

What I send out and what I take in.

I will take the time to ground myself.

I will be emotionally neutral and am always aware of which energy is mine and which is not.

I will use my abilities to see the truth for each person and not be mischievous.

I will read the past and present with only a reference to the probable and possible futures of another; thus allowing the other the freedom to create their own future.

I will devote my life to the purity and truth of my own essence, as well as helping others find their own purity and truth within their own hearts.

I will allow others the privacy sacred to all souls.

I will not undermine another by taking on their problems - I will create no dependencies. Instead, by example, I will teach the laws of autonomy and free will.

I will not use my abilities to control, manipulate, program or harm another.

Please Remember.... You are AT ALL TIMES in COMPLETE CONTROL of your own choices and actions.

Sensing Energy with Your Hands

This is an easy way to get a feeling sense of the subtle
energies around us - a real tactile sensation.
How to Practice:
1 . Stand comfortably with your feet shoulder width apart.
2. Relax.
3. Raise arms to chest height, with your fingers pointing
towards the fingers on the opposite hand, the palms of your
hands facing you, and your thumbs parallel with the floor,
almost as though you were holding an invisible beach ball or
basketball in your arms.
4. Keep your elbows bent and relaxed so that you are not
carrying tension in the shoulders and set your fingertips
about 1 to 2 inches (2 to 5 cm) away from each other.
5. Make sure your shoulders are relaxed.
6. Hold this position for a short while.
7. Now keep the left hand still and move the right hand
gently in a slow circular motion - out, up, in and then down,
maintaining about the same distance from the left hand.
8. Keep your attention on the left hand and the
sensations in the left hand.
You may feel a light magnetic sort of pull or push, a tingling
or a change in temperature. You may feel a 'thud' in the palm
of the hand, a line of energy crossing the hand or a buzzy
feeling in your hand or fingers. You may feel a sensation like
a gentle breeze.
If you feel nothing, try again just once and then leave it to
try again tomorrow. It's better to be relaxed and if you feel
stressed from 'not getting it' then it'll be harder to notice.
It can be subtle or strong. It's an individual experience.

Meeting Your Higher Self

A guided meditation

recieving spirituality

(To be read to yourself or shared aloud with a friend. Please pause at each space between lines.)
Relax and find a comfortable position. Take several deep breaths. It would be best to close your eyes so you can concentrate without distraction.
As you sit here in your human form, know that this body is just one aspect of yourself. You each have a highest self, that beautiful and perfect part of you which has experienced all your lifetimes and is intimately familiar with the home for which you yearn. You have begun as a spark of God, and have chosen the human path to maturity, that you may grow increasingly compatible with your Creator and find your way home. Your incarnations are the schoolroom for this highest self, which is already perfect in its essence, yet grows in wisdom through the learnings of each lifetime.
Accompany me on a brief journey to meet this highest self, and visit your home.
Direct your attention to your breath. Notice the in-breath and the out. Move deeper within. Look through the third eye. Allow the inside of your forehead to be a movie screen, and watch the pictures that unfold.
You have just emerged from a woods, and are on a lovely open hillside. All around you are flowers, in brilliant hues. Birds are singing, and the soft wings of butterflies touch you gently. The scent of freshness fills the air.
Far below you see a grove of trees, a grassy park-like spot where beings move about. Beyond the grove is a river, glistening in the sunshine. Across the river are lovely hills, turning into blue mountains in the distance.
You start down the hill. The sun is warm on your back and the cool, fresh breeze touches your face.
The figures are larger now. Some present a solid form; others appear as light. Some sit; others stand. They are in small groups. There is an air of peace, and the quiet hum of voices.
You do not know these beings, yet you feel you've known them forever. You feel no fear or hesitation as you approach. You are certain of your welcome.
One being catches your gaze. It is the figure of your dreams, deeply beautiful in the manner that most speaks love and beauty to your heart.
Focusing your attention on this being, you forget the others. There are only you two in all the universe.
This being, male or female, solid or light being, walks toward you with arms outstretched in welcome. Do not force its appearance. Let it be however it is.
You each walk very slowly. There is all the time you need for this meeting.
As you grow near, you gaze deeply into each other's eyes. You trust this being completely, and feel only intense joy in its presence.
Stop. Breath deeply. Look into each other's eyes. There is no rush.
Feel a deeper love than you have ever known touch your heart. It is a love that is familiar, remembered and yearned for, through all your human lifetimes.
Slowly you approach each other and touch outstretched hands together. There is such total love and trust in that touch.
Know that this being is yourself, your highest self. It is more you than this human body you inhabit. It is your essence, your soul.
Touch hands, gaze into the depths of each other's eyes, and know the joy of this reunion. Feel the deep peace that comes with your knowing of yourself.
You are whole, you are perfect, you are unlimited.
Separating hands, your highest self begins a Sufi song and dance.
The first line, with hands raised in blessing-"May the blessings of God rest upon you" …
The second line, as hands again touch lightly-"May His peace abide with you" …
With the final lines, your highest self places one hand over your heart. You do the same. With your free hand you cover that dear hand which touches you. "May His presence illuminate your heart, now and forever more."
You repeat this song, as often as you like, gazing deeply into each other's eyes.
May the blessings of God rest upon you.
May His peace abide with you.
May His presence illuminate your heart, now and forever more.
Slowly you merge. You become the one being that you truly are.
You are on the spiritual plane now. You will not need your body for awhile. Leave it sitting safely here, resting in the sunshine. Go with your highest self, as one being.
Just gently rest your body on the grass, where it will safely await your return.
You have begun to notice the other beings. They are all spirits like yourself.
Two circles are forming, one inside the other. Join the one of your choice. Face the being beside you in the other circle.
You repeat this Sufi dance, gazing deeply into each being's eyes as you sing and dance together. Move from one to the next, and on to the next.
Go slowly, moving with the group. Hear the beauty of the music. Let it fill you and surround you.
Feel the edges of your being dissolve.
There is no "self" or "other" here. There is only oneness.
You are whole, as are all the beings that you meet. You have no needs to call attention to, no pain or emptiness.
There is only love and oneness.
You move beyond yourself. You are aware of yourself dancing and singing, and yet there is no self. You are as fully each partner as yourself.
You are all beings. You are one.
And, as the song suggests, the presence of God fills your hearts, and radiates through the valley.
Continue to dance as long as you like.
When you have had enough, step back and watch.
It is the same whether you dance or watch. You share the perceptions of the dancers and the watchers. The total harmony of your being fills your hearts.
There is total joy and peace. There is no separation from any living thing.
There is only oneness, with yourself, with all beings, and with God.
Dance, watch, and feel the Joy of your oneness.
The shadows grow longer. The dance is ending.
You draw apart, but without regret. The love fills your heart. The memory of this oneness will stay with you.
Return to that human form you left resting on the grass. It is time to join with it again.
You are back in human form, but for awhile you have been your highest self.
You know that this is who you truly are. You are perfect. You are limitless. You are complete.
You must leave this grove now, but the parting is not sad. You may come back at any time. You are always welcome here.
This is your home.
Your highest self accompanies you to the path. You feel the sun on your face as you walk up the hill. Behind you, the beautiful music from the valley accompanies you on your way.
Walk slowly. There is no hurry. Feel the deep peace and love that goes with you.
Whenever you are ready, you may open your eyes.

The Keys To The Human Heart

In order to open the heart

Our mind and consciousness

Must be lifted into the light

Before you can feel the Grace of God’s Love,

we must

Put forth the effort required

We need to realize that; GOD IS ALL THAT IS;

Open our consciousness to

The glorious truth of Love

One needs to pull away from

Self-centeredness of personality

And unify their being with Spirit

Teaching our mind to allow

Christ In The higher state of consciousness

In truth God is everywhere

In everything, In truth,

God says I am never separate from you

God is the vibrating center of Creation

God’s heart is the center point of all that is

When you see love in another

You are looking at God

When we feel ecstasy run through us

It is the essence of GodLove in anything is God In action

We are talking about real pure love

From the heart, not the ego’s detriment

But, sacred love activating the Divine Feminine//Divine Masculine

 Quote Of The Week

"When evil men plot, good men must plan. When evil men burn and bomb, good men must build and bind. When evil men shout ugly words of hatred, good men must commit themselves to the glories of love. Where evil men would seek to perpetuate an unjust status quo, good men must seek to bring into being a real order of justice."

Martin Luther King, Jr. : American civil rights leader, clergyman, youngest recipient of Nobel Peace Prize in 1964 Martin Luther King Jr (1929 - 1968)
