United In Spirit Connection Vol 19

Hello Everyone and thank you for taking the time to read our latest newsletter.

This last week has seen a few new members join our growing community and on behalf of the administration team and myself, I would like to bid all a very warm welcome. All your memberships are highly valued as are any contributions you make. Thank you for joining and we all hope you enjoy United In Spirit.  Love Struck

This week in the latest Ning release all networks received a new email system and a tab for blogs. The new email system is great, easier to read and much more organised. The blog tab makes viewing and reading member's blog simple with all blogs accessible on the same page.

Within the next 2 weeks a class focusing on Healing The Inner Child will commence. This particular class is a powerful healing process of emotional, spiritual and mental issues. Often this class is very intense as we move through various processes, therefore requiring dedication to following the lessons and exercises, applying them in full honesty with your own self and also a high level of participation within a group situation. In other words YOU need to do the hard work in order to fully benefit.
If you would like to undertake this course and are prepared to reliably participate for 8-12 weeks, please request and invite to the private  group or alternatively email me with your user name so I can send you an invite. The first class is ear marked to begin on Monday 13th of October, time to be announced.

A great new concept has evolved on Ning called the Ning Directory of  Networks . It is a great concept and place to advertise your Ning network and gain visibility. The whole concept relies on effectively indexing each site to provide a logical systemic way for members to join your network. This therefore, has the potential to guide members to your site. United In Spirit fully supports this network and as such has been active in assisting network owners to join. So if you have a Ning site, you should consider the benefits of the additional exposure.

The House of 1000 Mirrors

Long ago in a small, far away village in japan, there was a place
known as the House of 1000 Mirrors. A small, happy little dog learned
of this place and decided to visit. When he arrived, he bounced
happily up the stairs to the doorway of the house. He looked through
the doorway with his ears lifted high and his tail wagging as fast as
it could. To his great surprise, he found himself staring at 1000
other happy little dogs with their tails wagging just as fast as his.
He smiled a great smile, and was answered with 1000 great smiles just
as warm and friendly. As he left the house, he thought to himself,
"This is a wonderful place. I will come back and visit it often."
In this same village, another little dog, who was not quite as happy
as the first one, decided to visit the house. He slowly climbed the
stairs and hung his head low as he looked into the door. When he saw
the 1000 unfriendly looking dogs staring back at him, he growled at
them and was horrified to see 1000 little dogs growling back at him.
As he left, he thought to himself, "That is a horrible place, and I
will never go back there again."
All the faces in the world are mirrors. What kind of reflections do
you see in the faces of the people you meet?

Priming the Passion Pump

By Brad Swift

Clarifying your life purpose is a team effort between the rational mind and the intuitive mind. The following exercise is an effective way to combine these two powerful resources to help you move forward along the pathway of a "life on purpose."

Engaging in the following questions utilizes your memory and your rational nature to prime the pump, making it easier to access the intuitive or creative nature. By the end of this exercise you will have a "rough draft" of a purpose statement. As you go about your daily activity, continue to refine and shape this statement. A life purpose is "alive." It grows and evolves the longer you care and nurture it.

As you ask yourself these questions, write down your responses in a journal, adding whatever comes to you as you are writing. Asking other people who know and support you what they see about you in regards to these questions will add "grist to the meal." Add whatever new insights that comes from these conversations to your journal so you will have a rich body of information to draw upon.

  1. What do you love to do? Look at times in your life when you were most alive, excited, in love with life. What were you doing during those moments? Who were you with? Ask people who know you when they've noticed you most alive and enthusiastic.
  2. What kind of people do you love to be with? Answer this both specifically (as in the specific people you love to be with) and in general (as in the types of people you enjoy). What are some of the things you could do in your life that would give you the opportunity to spend more time with these people?
  3. If money, time, energy, and talent were unlimited, what would you do with your life and who would you be? (If it's difficult to imagine any of these being unlimited, make a note of this. Then, let go of that concern and continue the exercise.)
  4. Who are some people that you greatly admire? These may be celebrities, people from history, family members or friends... What is it about these people that you admire? Is it a way of being, or a set of values, or what they are up to in life? Be as specific as you can?
  5. What values are most important to you? It's important to distinguish between the values that you think you should feel are important, and the ones you choose of your own free will.
  6. The next to the last step is to go back through this material and begin to look for the common thread or central theme that runs throughout. There is a common thread or central theme and your job is to find it, no matter how well it's disguised. Do not wonder if there is a common thread and then check to see if its true or not. There is one and your job is to find it. In fact, there may be two or three. If so, find all of them.

One way to do this is to go through your notes with different color markers and circle repetitive words, phrases, or ideas. You may find there's several different times you wrote about being outdoors, and other times you wrote about nature. They are probably part of the same thread, but you'll have to judge that for yourself. Remember, if you aren't having fun, you're going down the wrong path.

You are almost ready to create your purpose statement. There's just one more thing to keep in mind before doing so. It's to remember that whatever you create today can be changed, or erased and rewritten. In other words, YOU AREN'T STUCK WITH ANY LIFE PURPOSE. This is very important. All you're doing right now is creating a rough draft to try out for a couple of weeks.

  7. Once you've worked out the rational mind, it time to call in its tag-team member, your intuition. Pick your favorite way to access your intuitive powers. It may be meditating, taking a long walk, run or drive, or setting your intention to dream your life purpose. Read through your journaled material then access your intuition.
  8. After the above step, if you are still uncertain what your purpose statement is, clarify it with some free writing. As soon as you've finished step 7, complete each of the follow statements at least 5-6 times:

    My life purpose is...

The purpose for which I'm here on the planet is...

Who I am as a life purpose is...

The vision I hold for the world is...

  9. Write down in a brief statement or paragraph what you say today your life purpose is. Remember, this is your rough draft from which you will be working. It's impossible at this point to get it wrong because it's only the start. Write down something and see if you can keep it to no more than 3 sentences.

Dr. W. Bradford Swift is Founder of the Life On Purpose Institute, and author of Life On Purpose: 6 Passages to an Inspired Life. The Institute's vision is: a world on purpose, with people living lives of purposeful, passionate and playful service, of mindful abundance balanced with simplicity, and spiritual serenity.

Unconditional Love

by Owen Waters
The purpose of being human, as we shift into the New Reality,
is to learn about heart-centered consciousness.
The universe is, by its very design, filled with the love of
the Original Creator. Universal love is the aspect of Original
Consciousness which holds Creation together. In the Original
Creation, Infinite Being divided its consciousness into two
complementary aspects - thought and feeling - and then set them
into motion.
The love of the Original Creator forms the very fabric of
space. No material thing and no part of "empty" space is devoid
of that love. Universal love is literally everywhere. However,
the human condition is only affected by this love when it is
channeled into the human realm through its use by humans.
We are here on Earth to learn how to translate universal love
into human form.
Once universal love has been transformed through the
consciousness of any individual human being, it enters the
global mind atmosphere of Earth. We all share constant access
to this global mind. While we initiate thoughts and feelings on
our own, we also receive thoughts and feelings from the global
mind. We sometimes alter these by our own thought, sometimes
not, and then pass them back into the global mind. In an
unconscious way, but not consciously, people are fully
telepathic as they receive and transmit thoughts and feelings
from and to the global mind atmosphere.
When a person experiences heart-centered consciousness, they
radiate a type of consciousness which is very different to
basic emotion. Heart-centered consciousness is a state of
unconditional love. It is not a product of emotional like or
dislike. Once started, nothing in physical reality affects the
flow of unconditional love. It is something that just is,
regardless of the circumstances.
Unconditional love is something that flows through your heart
when you reach up above day-to-day consciousness, then open
your heart and just allow it. This heart-centered consciousness
always sees the elegant solution to the sorrows that can arise
from basic human emotions.
Unconditional love allows, accepts and supports. It is not
something you try to do. It just flows when you allow it to
enter your heart and take your consciousness above the cares of
daily reality and into an expanded vista of awareness.
Each time you radiate unconditional love into the global mind
atmosphere, you upgrade the entire human experience, taking
humanity yet one more step into the unfolding New Reality.

Thoughts From The I AM

by Michael Burtt

The instant we release self-judgment we are incapable of judging
anyone else. We can only judge ourselves if we have not accepted
ourselves unconditionally. The cause of judgment is lack of self-love
and to surrender judgment, you must release fear. Every experience is
an equally valid expression of life and as such we cannot judge it.
True, justice is the allowance of all that is.

The surrender of judgment is to fulfill your only purpose here and
unify your self to your divinity. Who are we to deprive anyone of his
right to enrich his soul with whatever experience he chooses? The
forgiveness of separation (non-judgment) sees any condition, act, or
person as being in the right place for learning.

Happiness is a choice at every moment. It flows from the I AM source
within and is then reflected back from everything without.

Judging good as better than bad immediately calls bad onto the stage
to perform. If one side of the balance is given value, we give birth
to its opposite as a reality to be experienced. Newton's Law applies
to the pairs of opposites: for every action there is an equal and
opposite reaction. Resistance creates the opposite of its intent.

Defense calls for attack, attack calls for defense. Fear not released
must manifest as experience. Why? Because we are here to experience
all emotions and emotion always precedes wisdom.
Open Up And Welcome

Judgment is born of fear, and what we fear we empower, and will soon
attract to us. To welcome means to receive with love. Guilt is always
an acceptance of judgment and indicates a lesson not learned. The
tongue that abuses cannot converse with God; for once we have lost the
power to harm, we can finally bear witness to God.

To own an emotion it only needs to be experienced once. No emotion
must ever be resisted but welcomed. Whatever does not matter as a
preference will not materialize as an experience. Attachment leads to
pain. If anyone has hurt you, this means you searched for happiness
outside yourself.

Happiness is a choice at every moment. It flows from the I AM source
within and is then reflected back from everything without. Making this
choice is the shift from tragic to magic. Embracing is the key to the
understanding of how to balance polarities. The waters of the brook do
not accuse the rock of being in its path. The water flows around the
rock giggling gently. Embrace, welcome and face any emotion.

When we criticize our brothers, we affirm separation and reject
reality or oneness. There is only one being here. Reality is diversity
in oneness. Great efforts to fight disease and sickness result in more
sickness in the world. If sickness matters enough to be feared, then
it has to materialize to be experienced. This process is in exact
obedience to the law of polarities. True perception sees the idea of
loss as the problem; not the loss itself, which is just form.
Return To The Source

The root cause of poverty is withholding love from one's brother.
"Real" poverty is the lack of loving yourself. Money is but the
physical form of the universal energy of love. Let God pay the bills
as love can only be increased by giving. The game of getting achieves
the opposite as our hunt for supply is based on the fear of not having
enough. Where lack of any kind is experienced, the I AM is not
acknowledged. To be is all there is...The I AM is my source.

The above thoughts were sparked by the book, "God I Am" by Peter Erbe,
©1991 and ©2001, published by Triad Publications.

"WITH SELF"

KNOWING WHO WE are and what we are here to contribute,
and supporting this in ourselves and others, will immediately
place us in alignment. This chapter could probably be summed
up in one sentence:

When we follow the path of what "feels good" to us, we
cannot go wrong.

And following what feels good to us is dictated by who we are. If
something feels good to us, it is usually best to go that route. In
this way, we are continually on a path of where we need to be.
We are in alignment, then, with ourselves. One sure fire way to
know who we are and what we are about, is to follow the path of
what feels good. When we feel a passion for something, it is
because we are remembering what it was that we came to do.
When we feel passion, it is because most everything about a
certain subject or path is fitting us and in alignment with us.
The more ducks there are in a row in regard to what fits us, the
more passion we feel. And the more passion we feel, the more
in alignment with Source we are, allowing this energy to pour
through us with no hesitation. This is the way it was meant to
be.

At times we may not do what we love or what feels best because
it does not generate money, or we feel a responsibility to others,
or possibly we even put ourselves last. A lamp cannot generate
light if it is not filled with oil. The heart must first pump blood
to itself before it can take care of the rest of our body. And even
on an airline, we are advised in an emergency to place an
oxygen mask on ourselves before we place one on our children.

Taking the time to pursue a hobby, a creative outlet, or a
specific interest allows us to be much more of who we are. And
being as much of whom we are as we possibly can, greatly
places us in alignment with Source, as the part of us that is
truly Source, is the pure gold nugget of our gifts and talents.
Taking time for ourselves in this way also benefits others, as
our vibration is then higher.

Following our interests and spending as much time in
this arena as we can, places us in alignment with who
we are.

In more highly evolved societies in other worlds, the purpose
and contribution of each individual at their time of birth is
widely known by all. In this way, each and every person can
then be supported by the whole. Who they are is known and
seen, so an alignment to Source is then greatly supported.

When we know the soul purpose of another, we are then able to
support it in all ways. Many times when we think we are
helping, we are actually hindering, as with good intentions in
mind, we really do not know that all is in order when we see
what appears to be suffering on the part of another.

Supporting the soul purpose of another places us in
alignment with ourselves.

Integrity Marks the Trail

By following the path that feels good, we are not only in
alignment with our intentions, but we are also more in
alignment with Source. This is because higher emotions line us
up with the higher realms. Feeling good and being in a higher
state of being also assists us in manifesting many more things
that feel good. Remember, like energy attracts like energy.
Taking the road of doing what is right for us, automatically
places us in the higher realms. No matter what the options are
around us...even those that were created from an old 3D energy
and are no longer a viable choice; knowing that we can still
choose and create an option that fits us no matter what, places
us in alignment with ourselves.

Have you ever felt like a fish out of water because you were
involved with something that did not match your level of
integrity? Or perhaps even wearing an item of clothing that
simply was not you. Wearing something that doesn't fit who
we are, can make us feel strange and uncomfortable all day!
One day I was writing in my sweats for quite awhile, and then
had to go out and meet someone. I changed into my favorite
pair of boots, called Ropers, my favorite jeans, put on my
favorite woven bracelet, and away I went. I could not believe
how much better and powerful I felt only because I was much
more of me than I was in my sweats!

We need to be more of who we are to be in alignment. And I
cannot emphasize this enough.

When we are in alignment with who we are, we are
immediately connected to Source."

Affirmation Power

by Louise L. Hay

Affirmations are really anything that we say or think. Our thoughts
create our feelings, beliefs, and experiences. Too often they are
negative. we say, "I don't want this in my life" or "I don't want to
be sick anymore" or "I hate my job". If we want to change or manifest
something in our lives, we must state what we do want. We must affirm
that we are willing to see ourselves or our lives in a different
perspective. Thus, we can change our experiences by first changing our
thoughts.

When you first start using an affirmation, it may not seem true for
you. If it were already true, you would not need the affirmation. For
example, think of what happens when you plant a seed. First it
germinates, then it sprouts roots, and then it pokes its first shoot
up through the ground. It takes time to go from a seed to a full-grown
plant. And so it is with affirmations. Be gentle and patient with
yourself.

You may also experience some doubt as to whether you are doing the
affirmations correctly or even whether the affirmations are doing any
good at all. This is perfectly normal. You see, the subconscious mind
is like a filing cabinet -- all the thoughts, words, and experiences
you have had since birth get filed away like messages. Think of your
mind as having a team of couriers who grab the messages, look at them,
and put them in the appropriate files. Perhaps you have been building
up files for years with messages such as: I'm not good enough," "I'm
not smart enough to do that," or "Why Bother?" The subconscious gets
absolutely buried under these files.

Suddenly, when the couriers begin seeing messages that say, "I'm
wonderful and I love myself", they respond with, "What is this? Where
do we file this? We've never seen this message before."

That's when they call in "Doubt". Doubt picks up the message and says
to you, "Hey, look at this. We have no place to file this one -- it
must be a mistake." You can either say to Doubt, "Oh, you re right.
'I'm terrible. I'm not good. Sorry, I made a mistake", and go back to
your old way of thinking. Or, you can say to Doubt, "Thank you for
sharing, but this is the new message. Set up a new file because there
are going to be lots of these coming through." By doing so, over time
you will change your thinking and create a new reality for yourself.
Remember, you are in charge.

Reinforce your new, positive affirmations in any way you can: in your
thoughts, your conversations with yourself and others, and by writing
them down in this journal, which I created to inspire you on your path
to personal growth and healing. You may choose to use the affirmations
on each page as a springboard to write your own. Once you find
affirmations that are right for you, you may want to put them up on
your mirror, on your desk, or on your car dashboard.

Remember: One thought does not mean much, but thoughts that we think
over and over are like drops of water -- at first there are just a
few, and then after a while you've created a pool, and then a lake,
and then an ocean. If our thinking is negative, we can drown in a sea
of negativity; if its positive, we can float on the ocean of life.

Instant mood elevators

In this day of instant gratification, I get asked if there are any
instant mood elevators?

Well there are no real short cuts to long term happiness, but there
sure are quick fixes to get you started on the path of happiness.

So without further ado...here goes!!!

1. When feeling down, contort the right side of your face. Vigorously
contorting the right side of the face will release positive emotions
by increasing activity in the left frontal hemisphere. Left frontal
hemisphere has been linked with verbal skills, orientation in time,
rational, logical, analytical thinking, happiness and positive
emotions. ( Imp..do not contract the left side as that may lead to
sadness !!!!!)

2. Grab a piece of dark chocolate ...Just one small square is
enough!!! Try and go for over 60% cocoa. It releases serotonin in the
brain, which produces a feeling of pleasure and satisfaction. Studies
show that melting chocolate in one's mouth increases brain activity
and heart rate. What are you waiting for? Remember stick to one small
square.....

3. Smile!!!!!fake it if you have to. Again it is about cheating your
brain into releasing endorphins.

4. Knead dough or clay, knit, paint, or do pottery, wash and rinse
your clothes ( no washing machines) gardening, sewing, massaging,
ironing.. anything that will make use of your hands. Now I understand
why the Pilipino helpers are always smiling!!!!!

5. Go for a swim or go for a hike, (enough trails around) any form of
exercise. Kissing is also considered exercise as it burns 26 cal per
minute, releases endorphins and prevents facial wrinkles!!!!!

6. Get into the habit of writing a gratitude (thank you) journal. This
will encourage your brain to consciously look out for things that you
are grateful for and those that make you happy.

7. Light some incense or spray some aromatherapy oils on your pillow
or put some in your bath. According to research the amygdala is
affected by smell. Differing aromatic rings are contained with
essential oils. When we smell these, the odor is transferred into a
nerve message. The message is sent to different parts of the brain
where the process of stimulating different hormones is undertaken.

8. Play Mozart or any music that you like. I listened to Barbara
Streisand when I was really depressed, but I can't do that anymore.
Our taste in music changes with the change in our moods and we can
also change our mood by listening to the appropriate music. Music has
an amazing ability to lift our spirits, gives us new insights and
stimulates our mind.

9. Another interesting exercise that works for me. Massaging the point
of the Amygdala. Simple way to locate the amygdala gland is by placing
your thumbs in your ears, and then place your middle fingers near the
inside corners of your eyes. The amygdala gland is found about 1" into
the forehead where your index fingers fall. The frontal lobe of the
brain can be located by placing your palm on your forehead. The entire
area covered by your palm is where the frontal lobes are located.
Massaging this area stimulates a release of endorphins. Try it.

10. Watch a silly comedy. Laugh your head off. It might be difficult
when you are already down and depressed, so before sitting down for
that comedy, get yourself a piece of dark chocolate..maybe a glass of
red wine , spray your surroundings with beautiful smelling oils and
get ready to lift your spirits.

So no excuses for not pulling yourself out of the funk.....so get
moving and get happy.

Luv/luck/happiness

Pondering's

When was the last time you stumbled? Or did you fall for something, or in love? What does falling feel like to you? What went through your mind? (Some Native tribes believe that stones fall because they so deeply love the Earth; perhaps your physical being carries that same desire...)

When was the last time you fell?

Reflections~Poetry With Meaning

FLYING WITHOUT WINGS

Vibrations rise, it's time to fly
into the stars, beyond the sky
the heart in perfect beat it sings
and so one flies now without wings

A feather light, all weight released
the past is gone and now the feast
as peace abounds in perfect light
for now one is in joyous flight

A heart its flame is bursting forth
a love explosion  fills the earth
divine is present everywhere
for wingless flight's a soul affair

Gift of Life

Awakening with a sun filled sky
Stretching with flowers that have awoken to greet the morning sun
Flowing with the breeze that greets the peaceful flowers
Laughing as the afternoon sky parts the gracious breeze
Dancing under a glorious afternoon blue sky
Surfing along with the gentle wind that ushers in a surreal sunset
Looking in wonder how the sun bids the day farewell
Chasing the fading sunlight only to be enthralled by evening stars
Skipping from delight as the stars captivate the black sky
Breathing in the light as the moon salutes the evening sky
Resting as the moon finds it place above us all
Dreaming of the beauty that we are,
and truly loving the gift of life.

Applying our Truth

Each step on our spiritual path gives us new insight and information to reconnect us to our power and to Source. As we receive this information we are challenged to change our beliefs, open ourselves up to new possibilities and accept new truths. When we understand our spiritual Truth, that we are divine, perfect beings who deserve a reality of abundance in peace, joy, prosperity and unconditional love, we are at a crossroads and the next step we take is an important one.
Our spiritual Truth is often in conflict with our material truth, which is generally focused on lack and fear. Every place in our life where we feel we are undeserving, unlucky, unable to create joy, abundance or love is a place where we are out of balance with our spiritual Truth. But what we do with that information is very important. Where do make changes and do we have the courage to do so?
We can accept our spiritual Truth, knowing that we exist in perfection and then are unable to use this information to transform our material world. This can take us into depression and even self sabotage, where we believe this is true but cannot steps necessary to apply our knowledge. Unable to move forward, we feel even more stuck in our life and go into judgment, telling ourselves we should be able to do this, but feel powerless to do so. When everything in our life contradicts our spiritual Truth we are challenged to change everything about ourselves. But we really only have to change one thing, all we have to do is accept the spiritual Truth of who we are.
The Universe has a wonderful way of showing us where we are stuck and where transformation is needed. If we are in self sabotage or fear mode, we can see this as further proof of our powerlessness. But we can also see it as an opportunity to allow the energy in our life to flow, in whatever direction it needs to and to accept the spiritual Truth, so that transformation can occur. Applying our spiritual Truth to every area of our life means acknowledging the perfection of each moment, our ability to learn from our lessons, heal our soul wounds and from that point, acknowledging that we are empowered with our learning and can create the reality of our dreams.

As you think so you become

Sri Swami Satchidananda

Think well, you will be well. Think ill you will be ill. It’s all your thoughts. Sometimes you might not be thinking ill of yourself, but are thinking ill of others. That is still thinking ill. Whether it is about you or somebody else, that is what you are thinking. When you think of that you will become that. That is why we say “See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil”. If you see evil, hear evil, and speak evil you will become evil. It’s not to save others that you are asked not to think ill, not to speak ill. You will not be hurting them, but you will be hurting yourself. In our lives we should always think well. Train your eyes to see the bright side of everything.
We receive according to our tuning
All the thoughts that the entire world is thinking and will think and has thought before are already in the cosmic mind. They are there waiting for you to draw upon them. By thinking of something, you literally become a sort of receiving set. All the similar thoughts come to you. It’s not that you create anything new. Actually, there is nothing new; nothing can be created and nothing can be destroyed. Nobody has ever created any new thinking. We are receiving constantly. And we receive according to our tuning. The music is there, but if you tune into the wrong station you will get atmospheric disturbance. Both are there. You call it “disturbance” because you don’t want it, but it is there. The music also is there. So we simply tune to receive. Sometimes even without your conscious effort, the tuner of your receiving set seems to be in certain locations; all of a sudden it receives and then you say, “Oh, I am experiencing something new. I never thought of that before.” It just comes to you, even without your conscious effort, because the mind simply rolls to that frequency and happens to receive it. Your mind is nothing but a part of the cosmic mind, and a part of the cosmic mind is function through you.

One Message Runs Through All Faiths

It is only at the human level that we make divisions

A desktop or laptop can connect us instantly to vast knowledge sources. A computer can link us to the news, stock reports, airline bookings, shopping, medical breakthroughs, and information in almost every other sphere of knowledge.
The information connectedness that we experience with computers is a small sample of the potent connections we can make with our empowered soul. The empowered soul experiences universal connection with all beings. Becoming aware of this unifying force can help us realize our essential unity. Walls of division separate people.
If we are born in one part of the world we say, "I am a citizen of this country, or that country". If we are born into a certain religion, we say, "I am a follower of such and such religion". Religions are man-made. There was no Buddhism before Buddha. There was no Christianity before Jesus.
It was the followers of the great saints, mystics, and prophets who organized their teachings into a religion. Most often, we become a member of a religion based on our parents' beliefs. A Hindu infant who is orphaned and who is later adopted by a Christian may become Christian.
Similarly, the way we live is dictated by the peculiarities of the region we live in. Many people worship God through prayer. But the way they pray is different. In some warm climates, it is customary to remove shoes before entering a holy place; in colder climates, going barefoot may be impractical.
Over time, customs that originate for climatic reasons become sanctified and become part of religious law. People tend to use those differences as a basis for prejudice and hatred. Another dividing factor is language.
When people in different religions use different words for the same concept, it becomes an excuse for thinking the other religion is not as good as one's own. Each religion has its own name for God, based on the language or culture in which the religion originated.
God is Allah to Muslims, Wahe Guru to Sikhs, Paramatma to Hindus, God to Christians. Whichever the language, the words refer to the same God. Yet we make these language differences a source of contention and separation.
We forget that God existed before language was created. By drawing boundaries we limit ourselves. The soul, however, is limitless. There is a unifying force beyond the physical plane, connecting all life. We are full of the love of God. It is only at the human level that we make divisions.
The soul is a part of the Creator. For us to be able to truly understand ourselves, we need to recognize all the divisions as walls that surround our true self. These walls keep us from truth.
Sant Darshan Singh spoke of Oneness: "What does it matter if I am called a man, In truth, I am the very soul of love. The entire earth is my home, And the universe my country".
Through lack of self-know-ledge, we create separation. Through our soul, we can experience connectedness and create more peace and har-mony among the inhabitants of this planet.

Open Our Hearts Everyday

By Rigpa Fellowship

Evoking the power of compassion in us is not always easy. I find myself that the simplest ways are the best and the most direct. Every day, life gives us innumerable chances to open our hearts, if we can only take them. An old woman passes you with a sad and lonely face and two heavy plastic bags full of shopping she can hardly carry. Switch on a television, and there on the news is a mother in Beirut kneeling above the body of her murdered son, or an old grandmother in Moscow pointing to the thin soup that is her only food. . . .

Any one of these sights could open the eyes of your heart to the fact of vast suffering in the world. Let it. Don’t waste the love and grief it arouses. In the moment you feel compassion welling up in you, don’t brush it aside, don’t shrug it off and try quickly to return to “normal,” don’t be afraid of your feeling or be embarrassed by it, and don’t allow yourself to be distracted from it. Be vulnerable: Use that quick, bright uprush of compassion—focus on it, go deep into your heart and meditate on it, develop it, enhance and deepen it. By doing this you will realize how blind you have been to suffering.

All beings, everywhere, suffer; let your heart go out to them all in spontaneous and immeasurable compassion.

Is the Darkness Winning?

What is described as the battle between the darkness and the light is not a battle at all, it is a choice for humanity to make from the two different paths that have always been available to it. The path of the Light leads to unconditional love, the path of the Darkness leads to fear. At this time humanity is being presented with the choice of which path to take and there is no more middle ground. Each being must commit to the amount of Light they are willing to carry. The choice between dark and light is another aspect of the choice between fear and love and is part of the polarity energy of the material plane.
As more people agree to the path of the Light there are fewer people to hold the energy of the darkness. It may seem, for a time, that the dark is gaining ground as the actions of those holding this energy become more desperate and more pronounced. That is not because the dark is winning; it is because there a larger gap between the two energies and those who are willing to hold the dark energy will hold more of it than before. And those who hold the light have turned away from the darkness so they are more aware of the difference between these two energies.
Even the Earth is facing this choice and there is an enormous cleansing energy that is being activated to clear old vortexes, replacing grids that were capable of holding the darker energies with those that can hold a higher vibration and even moving Lightworkers into areas that need their vibration or are more receptive of their light. As the earth goes through this cleansing you may experience fear and wonder whether you will be in the path of danger. You will be guided to where you need to be at the right time.
This is not a foretelling of the catastrophic prophecies you may have heard as those do not need to happen when enough of humanity chooses the path of the Light. Those who accept the darkness as their path have made a choice to experience its transmutation and they will have to live through all aspects of the shift of this energy. As each of you have experienced the Shift you have seen upheaval in different aspects of your life. Through your transformation you have initiated the energies that allow all of the material plane the opportunity to choose the light. All is well and in divine order and you and the planet are ascending into higher vibrations. Be at peace, hold your own light and know that you are protected and guided in all you do.

Examining the Reality and Truth of Thoughts

By Gina Lake

Thoughts may have some wisdom to them, but for the most part, they are stabs at truth and tell us little about how to live in this moment. Instead, they keep us at arm’s length from the moment. They keep us living in a mentally fabricated reality—the realm of ideas—rather than in the now. They interfere with life rather than enhance it.

This is contrary to our deeply held belief that thoughts are important, relevant, and meaningful. Somehow, we have been convinced of this rather than the opposite—that they keep us from Reality and Truth. But that is what we are here to discover!

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Thoughts are the structure of the ego and what hold it in place. Without them, the ego would not exist. This belief—that thoughts are important, valuable, and meaningful—is the lynchpin that, when removed, causes the whole game to fall apart; and where we land is smack dab in Reality, in this alive moment.

Aside from conditioned ideas and beliefs, thoughts are largely about the past and the future. It is obvious how our thoughts about the past and future keep us from the present moment, even if it is less clear how others do. When we are thinking about the past or the future, we are mentally reconstructing images of the past and the future and seeing ourselves in them.

Who is it you see in the past or future? Isn’t it just an idea of you? In these images, you see yourself at a distance, as if you were viewing the entire scene. Meanwhile, who are you really? You are not this thought of yourself in the past or the future, but for the time being, you are identified with it, just as you become identified with a character in a movie.

While this is going on, you are no longer in touch with what is going on in the moment, with the sensations and the experience of the moment. Instead, the moment has been covered over by thoughts of some other moment in time. The present moment still exists, but it is not being experienced purely, simply.

A part of us doesn’t want to experience life purely and simply—the ego. It would not exist without the mental drama it creates. It exists and thrives on thoughts about the past and plans of the future. It constantly mulls over the story of me: “How’s it going for me?” “How am I going to do?” “How did I do?” “What do I have to do to get things to go my way?” Evaluations and plans are the stuff the ego feeds on, which cause it to grow, until it looms large in our consciousness, blocking out awareness of other aspects of Reality. When we live in the egoic state of consciousness, life is about the story and how it is going and all the worries, fears, concerns, and problems entailed in that. This is the ongoing drama the ego is engrossed in.

However, there is another life living itself under or behind or beyond all of that, and that is Reality. Reality is unfolding beautifully moment by moment, and it allows the ego’s drama to take center stage as long as it will. Eventually it will get old and Reality will break through, and we will choose it over the ego’s entrancements. That is the beginning of a new awareness and a new willingness to realize the Self—our true nature.

In the meantime, the ego—the me—appears to exist, although it actually only exists as a thought. It appears the ego is having thoughts, but the ego itself is a thought. This is another of the great illusions, which keeps us enmeshed in the egoic state of consciousness. The ego seems very real, and yet it has no substance. If you look very closely, you see that it is composed of thoughts about me and nothing more.

Furthermore, these thoughts about me are constantly changing, so the idea me is not even stable or continuous: One moment you are clever and the next moment you are not. Your ideas about yourself are always changing. Take your self-image, for instance: You look different in your mind’s eye from one day to the next, depending on who you are comparing yourself to or what other ideas or beliefs are moving through your mind.

Exercise: Examining the I Thought: Who or what is this I that you imagine yourself to be? When you say “I,” what do you imagine? What thoughts and images make up this I? Is this I the same throughout your life or even throughout your day? Have you always imagined and talked about yourself in the same way? How hard is it, really, to change the description and images that go along with I? Isn’t it only a matter of exchanging thoughts and images for other thoughts and images? How difficult is that? Is this I who you are? Who is it that is able to think about this I? Could that be who you really are?

The mind is primarily the instrument of the ego, since so much of our thinking is an attempt to get the ego what it wants. Nevertheless, it can also be the instrument of the Self. Occasionally, thoughts—not just intuition—are the vehicle for communicating the Self’s inspiration and plan. When thoughts from the Self appear in the mind, they ring of truth and are accompanied by excitement, happiness, relaxation, and mental clarity. On the other hand, thoughts that have little truth to them are accompanied by mental confusion, energetic contraction, and tenseness in the body. This is how we can tell how true a particular thought is and where it is coming from.

The mind performs many useful tasks, and we need it to function and keep us safe; but it is also full of useless and incorrect information—conditioning—that passes as facts. Self-realization entails a certain mastery of the mind, which includes being aware of our thoughts and being able to discriminate between ones that have some truth and usefulness and ones that don’t. This takes some practice, but most of all, it takes sensitivity to the signs that something is true or false. Not only do we need to be aware of our thoughts but of their impact on us energetically, mentally, and emotionally.

Exercise: Exploring the Effect and Truth of Your Thoughts: What are you thinking right now and how does it affect you? Does it expand or contract your consciousness? Some thoughts cause us to become more contracted and ego-identified, while others cause us to become more expanded and identified with the Self. Those that do the latter could be said to be truer than the former. This is because truth puts us in touch with Truth, or the Real, while untruth puts us in touch with what is not true, or not real—the ego.

Although we can’t control our thoughts, we can learn to become aware of them. This may seem like a simple thing, but becoming aware of our thoughts is a very big step in evolution. It requires dis-identification with the mind, which is why it is such a big step. When we are not aware of our thoughts, we are likely to be identified with them and respond without questioning them. This results in a lot of suffering and more difficulties than necessary.

When we are identified with the mind, we believe that we are who we think we are: our self-image and the labels we have for ourselves. But is that who you are? If that is who you are, then who is it that is able to think about this question? What is it that is aware of the ideas that make up your self-image? What is it that is aware of the coming and going of thoughts?

This idea me may seem to reside in the body or the mind or both, but what is it that is aware of the body and the mind? Could that be who you are, and the body and the mind just function within that awareness? In that case, would you be limited to just the body and mind, or could you actually be anything you are aware of right now? Could all of it be you? What if that were true? What would that mean? Life would be lived from a very different place.

These questions can wake us up out of the egoic state of consciousness. Questioning the assumptions of the mind is a very powerful tool for awakening. Becoming aware of the mind, its thoughts, and their truth or falseness can help us bust through the web of illusion cast by the mind and the ego, which fools us into thinking that we are separate when we are not.

Exercise: Who Am I? What are you aware of right now? If you are aware of a thought, ask: Who or what is aware of this thought? If you are aware of a feeling, ask: Who or what is aware of this feeling? If you are aware of a sensation, ask: Who or what is aware of this sensation? The tendency is to become identified with the thought, feeling, or sensation and lose awareness of our true nature, which is pure Awareness. The purpose of this inquiry is not to come up with an answer to the question but to experience who you are. If you find yourself thinking, go back to the question and stay with the experience, which is one of not knowing rather than knowing. The real you is there in this not-knowing.

It turns out that the mind is part of the human animal and a tool for both the human and the Self, but it is not what it pretends to be—who we are. The mind dictates the supposed truth to us about who we are and how things are, and we believe it—until we don’t. The mind is an imposter dictator: It tells us this and it tells us that, but it is spinning a false reality.

Beyond the mind lies Awareness, which is aware of the mind, the body, and everything that exists—and that is who we are. We are the Awareness that allows the mind to spin its illusions and create the drama in which the Awareness—the Self—delights. There is no mistake here. The mind, the ego, and the illusions are all intended to make manifest the Self’s playground. Meanwhile, the Self participates in its creation by being aware of it all.

Ponderings

Is there anything that you adore that most others don't quite get? What strange or unusual love (or loves) do you have?

What do you love that others don't necessarily understand?

Release

Well, they drew the battle lines in the sand
What they did not realise was
This was not a line she chose to cross
Nor one that bothered her,
Deep in her soul
For that line was her freedom
From all that she had been made to feel
She could never achieve…no, not her!
Oh! What a long path she had travelled
What demons she has wrestled with along the way
Never short of confirmation from the other side
That this was all her fault
In agony of spirit she has called out

To her God and her 'mother' to somehow
Penetrate her inner being, understand the turmoil
That drove her to want to take her life
The silence was deafening,
The prayers fell
On arid ground for she had become a burden
An embarrassment, a failure, not “conventional”
So, she took these things into her wounded heart
And many dark nights she endured,
questioning,
doubting

Then they drew that precious line in the sand
Between life and death,
success or failure
Acceptance or possible ridicule
And her heart almost broke out of her chest
So powerful was the affirmation,
SO profound the knowledge

"Your path is not their path
Your sky is not their sky
Nor your world their world
Although you share in that
Matrix of dreams"

And the universe unfolded
And she saw with new eyes her kin
Not born of this world
But birthed in the spirit
And her heart shape-shifted
Into a mighty eagle
As it soared away

and the stars laughed
And welcomed her home...

United In Spirit Connection Vol 17

Time is flying...another week is over and a new one beginning. Welcome to the latest edition of our site's newsletter!

A big ,warm welcome to all our newest members, hope you're enjoying the site and feeling right at home!

Since the last newsletter, United In Spirit Ning has received a new look! Many of you would have noticed a new eye catching banner and a new matching background. Both are my own creations, with the background actually being a snippet of one of my graphic art pieces.

It is not always an easy task to change the appearance of a site. Many things need to be kept in mind, things such as:

  1. Maintaining the atmosphere or energy of the site
  2. Balance
  3. Maintaining a pleasing visual aspect
  4. Individuality, I always aim to have United In Spirit looking distinctly individual.
  5. Choice of colours, colours do have an effect on people so using specific colour schemes achieve a particular mood on site.

So  it's not just as simple as changing the banner or background, much thought always accompanies such changes.

Our home site on Wetpaint was also revamped and is reflective of the changes which have occurred on Ning. The home site also sports the same banner, however, with the higher range of versatility with the Wetpaint medium, the home page there can reach a higher level of individuality.

United In Spirit aims to provide a quality service to it's members and utilise the most up to date knowledge and tools available, and as such, I have been investigating a new application which has the potential to be added to our Ning site to bring the best features of Ning and Wetpaint to our disposal. It's exciting stuff! The best of both worlds. More on this as I further investigate this great option.

As some of you maybe aware, Shade and I have been working on a great project for one of our members. We have just completed developing a Ning site for Stan Scott who leads our Cancer Support Group. His network is called Cancer Caregivers Support Group and is now fully functional. For those of you who are caregivers to loved ones with cancer, have cancer or have been in either position ,please offer your support and knowledge which can aid others in the same position. There is strength in unity.

You can join or view the network by clicking HERE .

Shade and I are available to develop Ning and Wetpaint sites at a reasonable fee. Feel free to email and inquire.

The Dawn of Self-Empowerment
by Owen Waters
In recent decades, the consciousness of mankind has progressed
rapidly. Indeed, today, we are in the throes of the greatest
transformation in the history of mankind, a shift to a New
Reality of heart-centered consciousness. We stand at the
gateway of an unprecedented turning point in human
consciousness, a social and spiritual transformation called
The Shift.
One of the hallmarks of the New Reality is that people are
becoming spiritually self-empowered. In the Old Reality, it was
necessary for people to follow a rule book of moral behavior in
order to stay on a path which avoided temptation and its
undesirable side-effects.
With New Reality consciousness, order comes to society
automatically. Heart-empowered people simply don't engage in
action that would be harmful to themselves or others because
they unconditionally love all people, and would therefore do no
harm to anyone. New Reality consciousness is one of responsible
freedom. With it, people are self-empowered and fully
considerate of the effects of all of their actions.
Heart-centered consciousness develops the flow of
unconditional love. Once this flow is started, nothing in
physical reality affects it. It is not affected or rationed by
likes and dislikes, nor by emotions of any kind. It is
something that just is, regardless of the circumstances. It is
an expression of the love of God, which exists in every part of
the universe and flows through each one of us, if we but allow
it.
Unconditional love is something that readily flows through
your heart when you reach upwards above regular, day-to-day
consciousness, then open your heart and just allow the flow to
come through. It is allowing, accepting and supporting.
Unconditional love is a state of allowance, rather than being
something that you have to try hard to do. It just flows when
you allow it to enter your heart and raise your consciousness
even further above the cares of daily reality into an expanded
vista of awareness.
Each time you allow unconditional love to flow, you upgrade
the entire human experience, taking humanity yet one more step
into the unfolding New Reality.

Be true to yourself

"In the final analysis, we count for something only because of the essential we embody, and if we do not embody that, life is wasted."

-- C.G. Jung

Where are you not being true to yourself?

All blocks arise when we’re not being authentic, when we’re not being true to ourselves. We know we’re not being authentic when we feel discomfort of any kind.

When our thoughts, feelings and actions align with our essence, we express the qualities of soul. Always trust that your soul knows what’s best for you.

Believe in yourself and act on your ideas. Give yourself permission to do what you want with your life. Take the initiative to set meaningful goals for yourself and achieve them. Begin to tell yourself why you CAN have what you want!

"A true knowledge of ourselves is knowledge of our power."

-- Mark Rutherford

Personal growth can be a long hard journey. At Higher Awareness you are never left alone.

Is this True?
Being in our spiritual power awakens us to the need to review the truth of the different truths we believe. Without this kind of introspection we can life our life according to a range of beliefs and things that we accept as the truth and they serve to limit our ability to create and receive abundance, joy, peace and love. But just like the day we discover that there is no Santa Claus, inspecting the real truth behind what we have always believed to be true is the moment we are ready to accept responsibility for our reality as co-creators with the Universe.  'Is this true' will become our mantra and it will help us release the old truths and create new ones that are more reflective of the powerful and perfect beings that we are.
A common element among our material truths is the way in which they contradict the spiritual truth of who we are. How do we know when we are accepting a material truth instead of a spiritual truth? Our material truths remind us of our powerlessness, compel us to seek approval and validation from others, focus on what is missing and what we are not capable of or do not deserve. Often, they are the echo of what we have heard from others, even those things that we cannot remember.
When we have the courage to challenge our material truths we can ask ourselves 'Is this true' every time we hear a voice that reminds us of our fear, what we cannot or dare not do or what is not possible. Each situation that we look at with fear or dread because we feel that we are not enough is an opportunity to challenge our material beliefs, asking whether this is really true, finding the source of that truth and replacing it with the knowledge that our potential is limitless.
We are here to create space for heaven in the material world, to become the miracles we wish to manifest and to raise ourselves out of the vibration of fear and limitation into unlimited potential. That process starts with our acceptance of our spiritual Truth, replacing our material truths that have held us back for lifetimes of existence with the knowledge of our divinity. Every time you feel a limiting thought this week, ask yourself 'Is this true'. Just by asking that you are opening the door to a higher vibration, a new way of being and allowing your spiritual Truth to become the foundation for your reality.

Surrender or Resist?

Every lesson you experience is accompanied by the choice to surrender or resist. Often you do not see surrender as an option because you do not understand what that means or see it as a choice that is always available to you. The need to resist, to continue to press forward and try all options until you feel you have overcome is a fear response. Surrender presents an easier option and your belief that lessons must be difficult keep you in resistance until you stop fighting and allow the Universe to point you to healing. Resistance is blocked energy; surrender allows your energy to flow and move forward. Resistance is the opposite of surrender.
In many lifetimes your ability to resist has kept you moving forward on your path. There have been times when you needed to struggle against those who would put out your light, who would condemn and persecute you and that has created the energy of resistance in humanity. But this is no longer that time. Now you can surrender, knowing that the Light is now strong enough to carry you through your lessons, to light your way and to work on your behalf. This is the energy of co-creation, when enough of humanity has created a field of Light that allows surrender to be a choice. When you choose surrender, you are choosing the Light to guide you on your journey.
Your lessons are not about winning, they are about learning and healing. When you are in resistance you want to win and you are driven by your free will, which includes attachment to a particular outcome. Together, these prevent you from seeing all aspects of your lessons and moving to a higher perspective where the option of surrender and allowing the energy to flow in the direction it needs to go for your healing can bring you release and peace. When you surrender you allow your self-love to guide you into the flow of miracles and abundance.
So much of humanity's struggle has been caused by resistance, especially resistance to the energy of unconditional love. Learn to surrender, to replace your will with divine Will, to trust that you are divinely guided in all you do, to replace fear with acceptance of your connection to Source. You cannot force healing for yourself or others or complete your lessons as long as you resist. When you learn to surrender and release resistance your vibrations are raised and you have faith in your power and in the Universe. Then you can connect with the energies of joy, peace and miracles because they are available to you when you surrender and allow them to flow to you.

A Thorn in One's Heart

By Hazrat Inayat Khan
The first step towards forgiveness is to forget.
In order to learn forgiveness man must learn tolerance first. And there are people whom man cannot forgive. It is not that he must not forgive, but it is difficult, beyond his power to forgive, and in that case the first thing he can do is to forget. The first step towards forgiveness is to forget.
They say, 'Forgive and forget', which is very expressive of the process of forgiveness. It is impossible to forgive unless you can forget. What keeps man from forgiving his fellow man is that he holds the fault of another constantly before his view. It is just like sticking a little thorn in one's own heart and keeping it there and suffering the pain. It may also be pictured as putting a drop of poison in one's own heart and retaining it until the whole heart becomes poisoned. Verily, blessed are the innocent,
who do not notice anybody's fault, and the greater credit is to the mature souls, who, recognizing a fault, forget it and so forgive. How true are the words of Christ, 'Let those throw a stone who have not sinned.' The limitations of human life make man subject to faults. Some have more faults, some have less, but there is no soul without faults. As Christ says, 'Call me not good.'
Forgiveness is a stream of love, which washes away all impurities wherever it flows. By keeping this spring of love, which is in the heart of man, running, man is able to forgive, however great the fault of his fellow man may seem. One who cannot forgive closes his heart. The sign of spirituality is that there is nothing you cannot forgive, there is no fault you cannot forget. Do not think that he who has committed a fault yesterday must do the same today, for life is constantly teaching and it is possible in one moment a sinner may turn into a saint.

Mudras

{For the illustrations go here: http://www. kundaliniyoga. org/mudras. html }

A gesture or position, usually of the hands, that locks and guides energy flow and reflexes to the brain. By curling, crossing, stretching and touching the fingers and hands, we can talk to the body and mind as each area of the hand reflexes to a certain part of the mind or body.

(In each mudra, exert enough pressure to feel the flow of energy through the "nadis" (psychic channels) up the arms but not enough to whiten fingertips).

(taken from best-selling book - Transitions to a Heart Centered World - Guru Rattana, Ph.D.

)

Some commonly used mudras are:

GUYAN MUDRA: The tip of the thumb touches the tip of the index finger, stimulating knowledge and ability. The index finger is symbolized by Jupiter, and the thumb represents the ego. Guyan Mudra imparts receptivity & calm.

Speak From Your Heart With Kindness

by Eva Gregory

Each of us is graced with the most powerful gift. With it, we are able to make people soar out of orbit with happiness, or plummet to the earth with despair if we are careless. What is this almighty gift? It is the gift of words and the ability to communicate.

As a society we often forget how powerful our words can be. We are occasionally reckless or too quick to speak, when we should take time to think about the consequences of our words. We are taught from childhood to think before we act, but sometimes neglect to think before we speak!

Not to worry-this can be a thing of the past by learning the art of 'Speaking with Integrity.' Integrity is defined as 'the quality of possessing and steadfastly adhering to high moral principles or professional standards.' Isn't that an awesome definition? Right away, it elevates the position of the speaker to a place where he/she is responsible for caring about how their communication is going to be received.
For example, if you frequently tell jokes or stories that

are a little 'unfitting', when integrity is embraced, your jokes will conflict with the 'high moral principles' aspect, and maybe even the 'professional standards' part depending on where your jokes are being told. Wow, how is that for immediate responsibility acceptance? Want to try it out? For the next week, examine your communications and try to speak with integrity. If you slip, jot it down and write a response

that does come from a place of integrity. With practice, you will start to put this to use naturally and you will see how extraordinary the results will be. Your life and the lives of those you touch will be so much richer.

Now that we've decided to change how our words affect others, what about how our words can affect ourselves. As a whole, we so often use our words to speak against ourselves. We were all taught manners. Isn't it a shame that we don't apply the manners that we wouldn't dream of deviating from for others, on ourselves? In fact, I bet that if anyone else spoke about us the way that we do, we would not be speaking to them at all! So, why put up with it from ourselves? Make a conscious effort to STOP! Yes, start TODAY. In the story portion of

the One Minute Millionaire, the main character was told to wear a rubber band around her wrist and to give it a tug every time she had a limiting thought. Within days she had a red welt on her wrist, but as time went on she was pulling the rubber band with less frequency. Why not try this tool yourself?
I CHALLENGE you to put that rubber band on

your wrist, and give it a good pull each time you speak about yourself in anyway other than an exemplary manner. You may start out with a very sore wrist, but you will end up with a very strong sense of self.

We've decided to not speak to others without integrity-to speak about ourselves in an exemplary manner. How about how we talk about others?

Yes, it is gossip when we speak about others. It can be hurtful and sometimes have serious consequences, not just for others, but for ourselves as well. When we gossip we are tarnishing ourselves. Most of what is considered 'good' gossip is negative in some manner-a behavior, situation or belief. We are willingly corrupting our world by participating in such actions. Since we know that like attracts like, we are knowingly sending negativity out into the Universe. Make a promise to eliminate all forms of gossip from your life. Each time

you think to gossip, instead turn it into a positive affirmation about the person. This change alone will help you attract much more of what YOU want.

Imagine how much good the 'Art of Integrity' can put out into the Universe. Providing a positive, truthful comment, helping someone turn a bad mood into a good mood, and speaking to ourselves with only love will have an incredible affect on many lives. Remember the Laws of Attraction are at work at all times. Watch your words and speak only of what you would want to have in your world.

Quote of the Week

When one recognizes the divinity within oneself, and therefore
recognizes the divinity within all lives, then one can effectively
manifest that greatness and potency quite effectively, because it wil be tempered by humility and respect for all of life.

Pondering's

What is it that brings life to us? What it is that animates all the atoms and molecules that make up our bodies? What is it that causes this life to flow more freely at sometimes than at others?

What is it that makes us alive?
